Owner & Director
Deepthi Devadithya
Deepthi Devadithya has been the Director of Bright Stars since 2019, bringing over 11 years of experience in early childhood education. She holds an Early Childhood Education State Certificate and is dedicated to fostering engaging, curriculum- and play-based learning environments that inspire curiosity and a love for learning in young children. Since 2023, Deepthi has also been running a successful Family Home Daycare, extending her commitment to providing quality early childhood care in a home-based setting.
Deepthi is passionate about creating a family-centered atmosphere for children, staff, and parents. She excels in building meaningful relationships with families, catering to their unique needs, and designing individualized curriculums tailored to each child's developmental needs and preferences.
Her primary goal is to ensure that preschoolers are exceptionally prepared for kindergarten and beyond.
Fun Fact:
Deepthi has a deep love for gardening and nature, which she frequently incorporates into classroom activities such as planting projects and lessons on the butterfly life cycle. Outside of work, her hobbies include snorkeling, hiking, and boating.

Assistant Director
Thushari Waravitage
Thushari has been working in preschool education for 8 years. She brings encouragement, warmth, and creativity to help young children thrive. She holds an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from Renton Technical College. Her focus is on creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging space where children can explore, grow, and enjoy learning.
Thushari believes in learning through play because every child is different, and each learns in their own way and time. She enjoys helping preschoolers reach their goals and loves seeing them grow more confident as they explore their surroundings.
Fun Fact or Personal Quote:
Thushari enjoys hiking and biking. She loves nature and often includes outdoor activities in her lessons. She also likes listening to music and making the classroom a cozy, happy place for children. She believes, “Every step a child takes in learning is a wonderful story to remember.”
